Johannesburg has more to offer than you think and Brown Sugar Backpackers offer the following in-house tours and activities to our guests that stay for one or more days in Johannesburg also known as: Egoli (City of gold), Jozi and Jo’burg (slang or abbreviations for Johannesburg).

Jo’burg is the gateway to South Africa and often the first point of entry and last point of exit for the many tourists. Make the most of your time in this vibrant big bad city.

Mdima Tours (In-House tour guide)

We have our own in-house tour guide for your convenience. Chris Mdima has been part of Brown Sugar since 2005. He is very flexible and will make an effort to accommodate our guests wherever he can. All tours depart DAILY with one or more guests. No additional charges for single person on these tours.

MDIMA TOURS include:

- A qualified tour guide
- Transfers from Brown Sugar and back
- Entrance fees
- 500ml bottle still water per person

Excluded: Meals, refreshments, beverages, tips and donations to voluntary guides

BIG 5 Kruger National Park, Chobe, Okovango Delta Safari's & Vic Falls

Every tourist should make time in their schedule to visit or include the Kruger National Park in their trip to see the BIG 5 and all the other wonders of South Africa and Africa. We can arrange and book your 3/4/5/6-day or more SAFARI before your arrival to avoid disappointment during peak season. Accommodation varies from tented, tree house or lodges or combined. The office will e-mail the booking form to you once you have selected your tour.
